Family fishing resort on a private three-acre island in Pipestone Lake near Emo, about an hour from International Falls; guests drive to a secure parking area, then take a 17-mile camp-boat run that crosses a mechanical portage to reach the island. Four modern lakefront cabins with private baths rent on either American-plan or housekeeping packages, with or without rental boats. Pipestone holds muskie, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike and lake trout.
