On Ivanhoe Lake
Air Ivanhoe operates a floatplane base and the drive-in Ivanhoe River Inn on Ivanhoe Lake about seven miles west of Foleyet, roughly midway between Timmins and Chapleau, plus around 35 fly-in outpost cottages, three boat-in cottages on the Ivanhoe River and the fly-in Nemegosenda Lake Lodge. All accommodations are equipped for housekeeping with guests supplying food; outpost cottages run on propane and solar, and packages typically include a 14-foot boat, 15 hp motor and fuel per two adults. Species are walleye, northern pike, jumbo perch, lake trout, brook trout and smallmouth bass, and the operation also sells moose, bear and wolf hunts in WMUs 23, 26, 30 and 31.
