On Savant Lake
Fly-in housekeeping camp on the central west shore of Savant Lake in northwestern Ontario, reached by floatplane with Rusty Myers Flying Service out of Sturgeon Lake near the town of Savant Lake. Six cabins sleep four to fourteen, each with a full kitchen, dining area and supplied linens; some have indoor showers and a central showerhouse serves the rest, and a diesel generator runs 24 hours with Wi-Fi at the main lodge. Fishing is for walleye, northern pike and lake trout; the camp also runs moose hunts in WMU 16B. Established 1965, now run by a fourth-generation family owner.
