Family-run lodge on Flame Lake, about one hour south of Chapleau and three hours north-east of Sault Ste. Marie, operating since 1967 and run by the Pedersen family. Fishing is for walleye, northern pike and whitefish in Flame Lake and nearby lakes reached by road, trail or river; hunting is offered for black bear over a 350 sq km area, calf moose (non-resident adult tags unavailable) and grouse. American plan, housekeeping cabins and camping are all available; the site is off-grid, powered by wind turbine and solar.
