Island lodge established in 1923 on the French River at Ox Bay, reached from Hartley Bay Road near Alban, with guest parking at Hartley Bay Marina. Eight rustic waterfront housekeeping cottages (Cabins 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11) with screened porches and equipped kitchens; linens, towels and toiletries are provided but guests bring their own food. A main lodge holds the WiFi and satellite TV; 16 ft Lund boats with 20 hp four-stroke motors rent by the day, three days or week, and local independent guides can be arranged for half- or full-day river trips with an optional shore lunch.
