On Sakwite Lake
Gateway North Outfitters, owned by Lucas and Nicole Adams and based at Emo, Ontario, flies anglers to nine remote outpost cabins in northwestern Ontario, of which the Sakwite Lake camp is one; eight of the nine cabins are the only cabin on their lake. The outposts are housekeeping cabins with boats, motors and gas included, and the operator also runs overnight cabins at the airbase for the night before departure. Sakwite Lake produces smallmouth bass in numbers along with northern pike, walleye and lake trout according to the operator's 2026 guest reports.
