Lodge established in 1953 on a peninsula in Hardiman Bay, on the eastern arm of the 14,000-acre Horwood Lake, reached by 34 km of gravel road off Highway 101. Eight waterfront housekeeping cabins sleep two to seven; the operation is fully off-grid on solar and sells American-plan, housekeeping, and semi- and fully guided fishing packages fishing walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass over roughly 160 km of shoreline. Fall offerings are guided black bear hunts over baits in a 275,000-acre bear management area, rifle and archery moose with tag included, and grouse; winter guests use the lodge as a snowmobile base on 600 km of trails.
