On Manion Lake · On Manion Lake
Family-run housekeeping camp on Manion Lake northeast of Fort Frances, Ontario, with five drive-to main-camp cabins plus seven outpost cabins on Pettit, Mount and Sandbeach lakes reached by ATV portage and a boat ride rather than by float plane. Manion Lake holds walleye, northern pike and bass; the coldwater outpost lakes hold lake trout, walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike. Outpost cabins run on solar power with running water and showers and keep radio contact with the main camp; a 7-day baited black bear hunt is offered spring and fall.
