On Lukinto Lake
Drive-to housekeeping lodge established in 1938 at Longlac, Ontario, sitting between Margo and Lukinto lakes and fishing walleye, northern pike and trout with over 30 boats spread across 15 lakes. Nine hand-built log cabins sleeping two to ten overlook Margo Lake, all with running water, propane heat, full kitchens and BBQs; guests bring their own bedding or rent it. Black bear, moose, grouse, rabbit and waterfowl hunts are also offered, and the lodge takes e-transfer or cash rather than credit cards.
