Drive-to housekeeping lodge on Red Cedar Lake at Marten River, Ontario, in the Temagami old-growth forest region about 45 minutes north of North Bay. Red Cedar Lake holds walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and perch, averages 40 feet deep, and lies in fishing zone 11; the lodge supplies a marked lake map, an aluminum boat fleet with 15-25 hp Yamaha motors, on-site gas, a bait and tackle shop and an enclosed fish-cleaning station. It also borders moose Wildlife Management Units 40 and 41, with grouse and duck hunting nearby; cottages are fully equipped but guests bring their own bed linens, blankets, pillows and towels.
