Mowat Landing Cottages is a drive-to camp at the end of Mowat Landing Road on the Montreal River west of Temiskaming Shores, offering housekeeping cottages of one and three bedrooms plus camping. Guests fish the Montreal River for walleye, perch, northern pike, whitefish and smallmouth bass and the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater system and remote backcountry lakes for rainbow, speckled and lake trout, splake and pike. The operation sells per-person weekly fishing, hunting, ice-fishing and canoe-trip packages, rents canoes, kayaks, boats and snowmobiles, and runs on solar power with generator backup.
