Family-run boat-access housekeeping lodge on Dog Lake near Missanabie, Ontario, with eight one- to three-bedroom log cabins spaced 250-500 feet apart plus a one-room island outpost cabin about 3/4 mile from the main camp. Cabins run on solar power with central generator backup; guests supply their own bedding, towels and toiletries and cook their own meals. Dog Lake, fed by the Lochalsh and Dog Rivers, holds walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, lake trout, yellow perch, whitefish, cisco, burbot and brook trout; fall black bear and moose hunting packages are also offered.
