On Olive Lake · On Olive Lake
Family-owned housekeeping cottage resort and hunting lodge at Marten River, Ontario, about 45 minutes from North Bay, on Olive Lake — a roughly 10-square-mile private-access lake with depths near 65 feet shared with only two other cottages. Six self-catering cottages sleep 2 to 6 adults, rented with or without a 14-foot boat and 9.9 hp motor; the lake holds walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and perch, with lodge records of 14.9 lb walleye, 17.3 lb pike and 6.3 lb smallmouth. The operation also runs baited spring and fall black bear hunts in WMUs 40 and 41 with over 20 baits maintained, sold as a 6-night package that includes accommodation, boat, stands, tracking and field dressing. Ben and Isaak took over from previous owners Dave and Cara in the summer of 2025.
