Prairie Bee Camps is a boat-in housekeeping operation on Prairie Bee Lake between Wawa and Chapleau, with four cabins at a main camp on the northeast end and one secluded outpost cabin in the northwest arm. The roughly 6,000-acre lake holds walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and whitefish, and the camp is the only set of buildings on it; five portage lakes are equipped with boats. Camp-mandatory release limits apply (walleye 18 in and over, smallmouth 15 in and over, pike 26 in and over), all guests must hold conservation licences, and cabins run on solar power with full bathrooms and hot and cold running water. The Zimmerman family owns and operates it.
