Ranger Lake Resort is a year-round drive-to resort on spring-fed Ranger Lake in Algoma, about 1.25 hours northeast of Sault Ste. Marie. It rents five fully equipped housekeeping units — a 2,200-plus sq ft Main Lodge and four cabins — with a wood-fired sauna, sandy beach, fish-cleaning hut and boat launch. Guests fish and ice-fish the lake using 14-foot aluminum boats with motors, pontoon, kayak and canoe rentals, and access logging trails for ATV and snowmobile use.
