Showalter's Fly-In Outposts flies anglers from an airbase on Highway 105 north of Ear Falls, Ontario to 14 remote outpost lakes, among them Action, Apps, Carrol, Cherrington, Cleveland, Crooked, Hammerhead, Irwin, Meandrine, Pine Needle, Saddle, Severn, Shabumeni and South Rapids, with published GPS coordinates and cabin capacities of 6 to 18 guests. Target species are northern pike, walleye and lake trout; Action Lake and Crooked Lake are catch-and-release. Cabins are self-catering with running water, showers, solar lighting, propane appliances and freezers, and each trip includes Lund or Alumarine boats with four-stroke Yamaha outboards and unlimited fuel; guided and unguided black bear and moose hunts are also sold, with the fully guided hunts including food.
