Wilderness Discovery is a non-profit, fully wheelchair-accessible campground and cabin facility on Lake Shebandowan about 80 km west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, reorganized under a 2017 corporation backed by Thunder Bay Rotary clubs, Hill City Kinsmen, HAGI and the Shebandowan Lake Campers' Association. It rents five housekeeping cabins (sleeping 6 to 10, each with an accessible kitchen, wheel-in shower, hospital beds, Hoyer lift and Starlink wifi), two lakeside suites, and a 150-capacity main lodge with commercial kitchen for events. On-lake activity is limited to 14-foot Princecraft aluminum boat rentals (four-person capacity, operator card required) and an accessible pontoon boat; no guided fishing, meal plans or hunt packages are offered.
