- Stocked trout water: This water is open to fishing all year, with the following exceptions. All Lake trout caught must be released from September 15 to and including October 31. No fishing for walleye during the walleye closed season from April 6, 2026 to and including May 8, 2026. No bow fishing, dip netting, or seining is allowed on stocked trout waters. In Duck Mountain Provincial Park, and in Porcupine Provincial Forest, all trout smaller than 35 cm must be released, except those caught in streams.
