Uchi Lake Lodge sits alone on a 12-mile lake in northwestern Ontario, roughly three hours' drive north of the Minnesota border, and is run by an operator reachable at summer premises in Ear Falls. Knobby's runs a fly-in operation out of Sioux Lookout, Ontario, with a main camp on Bamaji Lake about 80 air miles north and six remote cabins on Wesleyan, Fry, Kezik, Kezik North, Devil's Rapids and Bamaji lakes; all but one sit on the Cat River system.
